Mother Goose Visit ~

The children love when Mother Goose comes to visit our classroom. In January, she shared with us "Little Jack Horner". In these pictures, the children - "reached in their thumb and pulled out a plum!" They love her!

Wrapping Up January!

The month of January was lots of fun at preschool! We had a visit from Mother Goose, made some mittens with tissue and glue, used glitter to make our beautiful snowflakes, learned about Animals in Winter - Penguins and Polar Bears, and played "mitten matching pairs", color games with mittens, and read many fun winter stories during circle time! Whew, we were busy, busy!

Blue Day

Wear Blue Day - was a success! We talked about lots of blue things, and took our picture with blue items found in our classroom!

This week we enjoyed movement class,

where we walked the balance beam, jumped on the mini trampoline, and played with really big balloons! We sang some new animal songs with Miss Elizabeth.

A Chilly Thursday...

This week in preschool, we painted snow scenes with puffy paint, made glittery snowflakes, sang songs with Mrs. Elizabeth and Melody and talked about winter mittens and warm clothing.

In our spare time, we took care of the baby dolls!

We had lots of fun and the children did a great job returning to preschool - we did miss Katie!

Welcome Back ~~ Happy New Year!!

I don't have any pictures to post today ~ sadly, I left my camera at home ~ what was I thinking??
We had a very busy, fun day! We welcomed Mrs. Mary back! The children did a great job getting in from carpool, we were introduced to "Mrs. B" our new movement teacher, we made "puffy paint" from glue and shaving creme, and we made winter collages. We talked about winter clothing and the "S" word... SNOW! the children counted 4 little snowmen and we had lots of fun!
We did miss Katie and Quincy, who hopefully will re-join us Thursday .
For our first movement class, the children enjoyed jumping on the mini trampoline, walking the balance beam (very well btw), rolling on the gym matts and crawling through the tunnel. We loved movement class and look forward to learning more from Mrs. B.
Yes, the "S" word has been mentioned lots today - on the news and at preschool.
Just a little reminder... IF Cobb County Schools OR Marietta City Schools cancel school due to Snow/Ice, our Preschool is also closed. Please listen to WSB tv for school cancellations and closings.
You can always call me if in doubt! ;)
